We're Wavvy Hands. Come see us play a show or listen to our music. Thanks!

Hiatus, Line-up Change, etc.

It is sad to write this, but I will no longer be playing with Wavvy Hands and the band will currently be on hiatus from playing any shows going forward while Andrew records the new album and finds a new live show set up. 57 shows, nearly 20,000 miles and many new friends over the past year have been an awesome experience, but several creative and personal differences have led me to leave this band. I’ll still be around booking shows and probably starting a new band of my own before too long, and Andrew will continue on the Wavvy Hands project into the future. Thank you all for everything. - Corey

Want all 75 songs from Wavvy Hands and it’s assorted previous projects for just $5?

That’s right. Click here: bit.ly/wavvydisco

Pay $5 for all of our recorded music as Wavvy Hands, as well as Andrew’s albums from his solo project “V + The Nicotine Machine” and Corey’s solo experimental stuff “Galactic Vacationer.”

We constantly run out of physical CDs because we sell them for gas money and either guilt people into buying them or people might actually just really like us. We don’t know yet. All money from these downloads will go toward keeping a better regular stock of physical discs to sell at shows instead of just making a few by hand before each show.

We recorded this rough cut of our new song as it came together the other day. It’s not the best quality, as I just used “Voice Memos” on my iPhone, but hey, it give you an idea of what the song is like. We’re probably playing it at Rubble’s this Friday, so come see us. We’ll be properly recording it over the next few weeks along with some other new songs and some covers as well.

An update.

We’ve slacked a bit posting to our Tumblr. We’ve been playing a lot of shows…

That’s going to tone down a bit for the next 2-3 months as we’ve only got a couple dates booked in June, July and August at this time. We’re going to focus on writing some new songs and coming back with a brand new live set by the time school resumes in the fall, and just in time for the festivals we have lined up (Michigan Rock N’ Brew August 5, We’re Folking Awesome on August 17 and Midwest Fest on September 29). We’ve applied to a few others in September as well, so new festival dates may be added soon.

We have discussed several plans for what direction the new songs are going to head in. New gear and new ideas will spawn a bit of a new sound for us, influenced by several of the bands we have played with recently. Andrew just got an electric guitar yesterday and is picking up a MicroKorg by the end of the month. I already unveiled the “Fun Machine” organ on a couple shows and I’ve also acquired a Yamaha DX9 synth that will be incorporated into the new songs as well once it’s fixed up. We have also considered working with some other musicians as well, at least for the recording process and possibly for live shows in the future.

It’s an exciting time in the Wavvy World. I hope you’re ready for the ride.
